Beside these programmes it was felt that there should be at least one centre where the jobseekers could get some information and guidance for job opportunities. Thus AICMEU in way back 1984, established a Centre at Mumbai to facilitate the jobseekers to hunt for jobs. This motivated the people of Calcutta and Kanpur to work on same pattern.  During last 22 years approx. 19,000 jobseekers registered with us whereas local employers opened around 17,000 vacancies to recruit people. We organized approximately 34,000 interviews and successfully placed 7425 candidates at local employment market. The brief statistical report in the following table will reflect our work during last 23 years (1984 to 2007). We also trained 1586 job applicants to apply and appear before job interviews–

During 14th March 2005 to 31st March 2007, it induced total 9,085 job applicants register for job information, while total 3,685 vacancies posted by 220 employers. However, the system flashed 18,744 e mails to employer and equal numbers to jobseekers about probability of match cases.
